Project Kawasaki Update: 3

Two posts in one day!

Well, the bike is back together for the Real Classic show tomorrow. I am looking forward to it. There are still jobs to do, but for now I am happy with it.  Keeping in mind the only parts I have ever sprayed before are my RS Watanabe's for the Roadster. I might invest in a spray gun when the Roadster is off the road over winter and I repaint the Watanabe's and do some more bike painting. Here is how it turned out,

Project Kawasaki Update: 2

The bike is nearly ready to be put back together. I am still looking for a new exhaust and new rear shocks but they can wait for now. Here is the progress,
Primed side panel
Primed fuel tank
Ford Diamond white top coat
New mouting board for the rear L plate

Project Kawasaki Update: 1

Well, the bike is now in bits. I have the fuel tank drained and off the bike as well as removing all the panels so they can be sprayed. My decal arrived in the week too so it should all look proper soon. I painted the bottom of the fuel tank with POR 15, and believe me, that stuff will not come off your skin if you get it on you. Currently in the process of priming the tank so pics will be along soo.

'84 Kawasaki Project

I picked up a Kawasaki earlier on tonight. It's a 1984 KH125. I sold the Suzuki recently as, well....it didn't work properly. This is mechanically and electrically sound......it's just the paint work that is dire.

Not to worry, a trip to Halfords earlier and a visit on ebay, I have some new old stickers arriving and some nice ice white paint for all the panels and paintwork. I want to try and get it to look original as possible. This is going to be my little summer project so stay tuned,
