Just like 1999

Whilst the weather is terrible and there is salt on the roads, this is the closest I'll get to riding this.

Itching to be at 11,500rpm again.

I love the fact this bike still runs on carburettors, has a 20 valve head, and is now 25 years old. No traction control, no anti wheelie, no ABS, just your bravery should you want to keep it pinned.

For those interested the photos are taken on a FujiFilm XT4 using a Viltrox 23mm F1.2 lens.

VMCC Festival of 1000 Bikes - Mallory Park 14.07.2013

I went to Mallory on Sunday as the Festival of 1000 bikes was on and a lot of grand prix racers from yesteryear were attending. I took the FZR and the old lad took his Triumph Thunderbird, after a wee ride over to Mallory we parked up and had a mooch around. The weather was fairly cool in the morning but by lunch everyone was roasting, this sunshine can keep coming.

Here is a selection of photographs from the event, please contact me if you spot your bike and would like the full size image.

Thought I'd take a photo of this 50cc racer to give an ideal of scale, I'm 6' 3''.
All in all it was a great day out and it got me thinking about what bike to buy next, all I know is that it will more then likely be a 2 stroke....
